On September 25th, 2024, Meta announced Llama 3.2 with a couple size varieties, including a 1b and 3b model that are lightweight and meant to run on-device. See Meta's full release post on X here. Their roll-out includes many hosting partners and so PyroPrompts has added Llama 3.2 as made available through Groq within hours of Meta's release.
Llama 3.2 is still in preview mode, so expect some availability intermittency. The new model is really fast, but evaluations still need to be executed.
